HEADS-UP:   Amazon is targeting erotica again. This time, it’s “Dark Erotic Romance”… My dark erotic-romance, Through Becky’s Eyes, was published by Amazon KDP on May 14 of 2014 and banned for sale on February 14, 2017 … yes, that’s Valentine’s Day!

 

"I NEVER THOUGHT ANY OF MY BOOKS WOULD BE ON THE BANNED BOOK LIST!" THINK AGAIN ... ARE YOU SURE?

 

Amazon has taken to pulling books and Kindle titles off its virtual shelves for allegedly violating the company's content guidelines. You might expect the affected authors to take a financial hit -- and most have.

 

Amazon is really providing a master class in why monopolies are so dangerous. With its ruthless grip over book sales, Amazon has now moved on to overt censorship.

“They say the only bad publicity is no publicity. Perhaps they’re right.

 

In mid-December, Amazon decided to ban three of my books (Back to the Garden, Under Mr. Nolan’s Bed and Naughty Bits) because they were in “violation of their content guidelines.” I could deduce (Sherlock that I am) that the common theme in all three was erotic (consensual and adult, I might add) incest. Then I discovered that several more authors had received the same notice from Amazon, and their books, too, dealt with taboo topics.

 

Now, I’m a big supporter of free speech and intellectual freedom and my hackles get raised when we start walking down slippery slopes like these. Censorship in general, whether it comes from a government or a corporation, is abhorrent to me”.…

 

Censorship always begins with a scapegoat mentality. Some will undoubtedly say: “Well, that’s erotica, I hope they ban it all … No, it is not just erotica, my friends. Amazon has taken to banning books with no sex.

 

In fact, Amazon banned a book called: Nobody Died at Sandy Hook … “Amazon's banning of Fetzer's book is a dangerous precedent of banning books based on their non-conformity with political correctness. "Amazon gave me no reason," Fetzer told Natural News. "The situation is completely absurd... if you disagree with a government version of anything, Amazon can pull your book." – Natural News

 

Amazon's censorship effort should be disturbing to all of us, regardless of whether we agree or disagree with the conclusions of the author of this banned book.

 

By banning this book because of its speech, Amazon.com now believes it has a right to determine "truth" in books and ban those books that contradict the company's opinions on current events.

 

Amazon.com, in other words, has just become your Big Brother, and it's going to decide what you can and cannot read….
